General Visitor Information
Is the Centre fully accessible for disabled people/pushchairs?
The centre is almost entirely accessible by wheelchair and pushchair. We do have quite a steep slope at our entrance/exit. However, an alternative gate on the flat ground can be opened on request.
Do we allow dogs?
We are sorry, but NO dogs or other pets are allowed in the Falconry Centre. The rest of Batsford though is very dog friendly. Please contact us before booking by email about access for disability assistance dogs.
What time are the displays?
11:30, 1:30 & 3:00. Each display will be different and they each last about one hour. You are welcome to stay and see as many as you wish.
What time do you close?
We close shortly after 4pm. The latest entry is at 3pm, the beginning of the final display.
What happens if it rains?
We are an outdoor attraction. If the weather - wind/rain/snow - prevents the displays taking place we have a postponement policy.
Can I bring a picnic into the falconry?
No, there are some areas near the car park available. Please do not bring in outside food, only (non-alcoholic) drinks to be carried in.
Do you have a café?
We only sell a few snacks (ice cream, chocolate bar, cold drinks etc..) here at the centre, but there is the popular Garden Terrace Café onsite less than 200m away next to the Garden Centre & Arboretum entrance.
